Why not just buy buckets at the hardware store and collect your own? There should be plenty falling from the sky.

Not unexpected but a lot sooner than I expected.

Not much time left but if anyone is in the Chantilly area, the Chantilly Library book sale is going on. Today is the last day, $10 a box for all the books you can fit into a box. Just got home from there with our box, it's crazy busy but still LOTS of books still available. The library is open until 5:00 but don't know about the sale. Let's read the old fashion way so we don't have to worry about a full charge!

We checked out a bunch of good books on Saturday morning. There was quite a crowd at the library.

We'll have the electronics charged, but if we lose power we'll also lose our internet service...so books are always nice to have on hand.

With the derecho we lost phone service and our cell service was on/off, very unreliable.

How are you deducing it'll gain strength? I'm no meteorologist but every hurricane I have seen loses strength once it hits land because of the need of a water source, which land does not provide. Every graphic of Sandy shows it becoming a low pressure system upon hitting land. Nothing shows it becoming a larger category hurricane.

Several notches above Katrina? Not so much.

CogAT tests were all due in tomorrow which ain't happening for the schools that took up to the last day of the window to finish. Let's hope parents remember that come January and they wonder where the scores are.
