Default Bus routes around Vienna

I am considering renting property on Baton Drive, Vienna. I reviewed the Metro website, and it appears there are no bus routes from that area to a Metro station (Dunn Lorring or Vienna/FFX/GMU). Does the city of Vienna operate a bus line?

No, Vienna is a Town, not a City, and it doesn't operate a bus line or any other sort of public transit. You'd be out on Symphony Hill with its all-musical street names, which isn't actually in Vienna anyway. If you absolutely had to ride the bus, you could park somewhere along Main Street (Route-123) and ride on over to Metro, but it's a pretty straightforward deal just to drive from anywhere in the Clark's Crossing vicinity over to Dunn Loring and skip the bus entirely. The Metro lot there will have spaces until 7:45 or 8:00. There is also a commercial lot right across the street that I have never known to fill up. For an extra $45 a month, Metro will sell you a guaranteed-spot pass, meaning there will be places reserved for you until 10:00. Otherwise, it's a very nice area out there. Traffic on Beulah Road getting into Vienna can be a bit of a pain, but otherwise, there isn't much of a downside to that area at all...

Saganista,

Thanks for the information! I also found info on the FFX Connector.

Yes, both the Fairfax Connector and Metrobus run along 123, but it's still only 5-6 miles just to drive to Metro directly. Using the bus might just be adding time and inconvenience to your trip...
