I'm betting it'll be liberal leave, to accommodate for folks who still have no power.

They should open tomorrow. If not, almost certainly by Thursday. Schools need to re-open too. Need to get the kids out of the house.

We did lose power around 6:30 last night (a mile or two north of Reston Hospital), but it came back on around 5:30 this morning. It was a little chilly overnight, but not a big deal. I was very happy that the weather calmed down early enough that the utility crews could get out and work on repairs much earlier than the original Wednesday projections.

Glad to hear that most people did not have any long power outages or much damage.

Parts of Kingstowne/Island creek area lost power for about 14 hours - went out about 11pm and just returned about 20 minutes ago. It was pretty damn cold. We just left and went driving looking for open places, just up Beulah lights were working so headed to Silver Diner, it was packed. Heard of other outages in Springfield.

in my area of 22153, we lost power last night at 9:30, just after we put the little one to bed. We all slept fine, drove over to a Starbucks in Burke for coffee this morning, and power was back on at noon. We saw a big Dominion crew fixing some broken poles and lines nearby, so that must have done it. Looks like we escaped pretty unscathed.

Wow. I live in Kingstowne as well (near Toysrus). Glad we didn't lose any power...
