Anyone noticing more out of state license plates in rush our traffic around here? Some from NY are probably hanging out till Sandy gets situated, but I'm still seeing more and more CA, GA and FL plates. Should we let them know the quality of life isn't good here? LOL And that's were not really "dudes" in this part?

I'm guessing that's because we have more jobs. I don't understand your last sentence.

I understand your last sentence but grew up on the east coast using the term "dude" so for me it a completely normal term.

I think we had a lot of out of towners for the Marine Corps Marathon last weekend and many stayed over, so maybe that is why you see more? I don't see more out of state plates in the neighborhood so I wouldn't say a lot more people are moving here yet...I guess some of them could have been driving to the New York City Marathon that never happened and seems to be all the focus of media outlets lately.

Anyone with CA plates is most likely living here, not visiting or here for the marathon. I have FL plates, being military we are allowed to keep the tags from our home of record.

That said, I was in a parking lot over off Backlick and Commerce right before the storm and there were at least 9 cars with NY plates. I'm assuming they were evacuees and were staying with relatives nearby.
