Starting to look at preschools for next year and was looking for suggestions in the Burke/Springfield area that take 2 1/2 year olds. I've found a few, but most tend to be affiliated with a church and our preference is to have a non-religious school if possible. Looking into Spring-Mar and Accotink Academy but it looks like Accotink doesn't accept kids until 3. Also looking at Kiddie Country 1/2 day program, but because of the times (6-6) for their full time program am concerned that they are more like day care than preschool. Is there anything else out there?

It's hard to find stand-alone preschools that have classes for 2 1/2 year olds. The ones that I know in the area are affiliated with a church. A very good source of information of preschools in the greater Burke area is the annual preschool fair. It is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Burke Fire Station. It's a free event and it resembles a college fair, lol. Seriously, most preschools in the area are represented and you'll get a handout with all the preschools' requirements.
