My fiance and I just moved into our new house in N. Stafford and we are completely redoing the inside.
There is only one job that i do not wish to tackle on my own, removing the popcorn ceiling. I have tried the hot water and scraping technique as well as the scraping and skimming. But its too much work for me and because it is throughout the entire house its holding everything up.

I was wondering if anyone could give me a good reference for a drywall company or handyman that could do this for us.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I would think it would be easier to install new 15/32 drywall; about 7 bucks for a 4 x 8. I think you could get it done for 60 cents per sf. The "Spanish People" are quite good at this kind of work. You could do the tear out yourself. It is a huge mess, so do it room by room, or vacate the house. There is a grading system for drywall work, read up on it. Basically, when you have the drywall cut, and in place, you are about 1/3 of the way done. The new breed of drywall is 1/3 lighter, so you can DIY. Place a strip of wood along the ceiling, insert the drywall above the strip and put a screw in the other end. No need to use long screws, I like 1 inch, but you may want to check codes on that.
