I decide to rent out my current condo townhouse in Fairfax. I need to clean/Patch the carpet. (bad condition)

Any recommendations on an independent contractor? or I should just go to Home Depot to replace the carpet. (Since it is going to be an rental home, I do not need a high end finish and want to save some money.) Thanks guys.

By the way, Happy Holidays.

I researched online and found: Mighty Clean Carpet Care. Based on Yelp's reviews, they seem excellent.

Here's my suggestion: if you have a rental, just do away with carpeting completely. Have someone come in and do a Pergo-type floor and be done with it. Let your tenents worry about getting their own area rugs. You need a a low-maintenance flooring that can survive renters. I believe that installed Pergo (there are many other brands and costs) can be done as cheaply as carpet.

If it is good carpet, it can be cleaned without replacing... If it is crappy carpet, it probably needs to be replaced.

Buy good carpet for the place if you are going the carpet route. You can clean it instead of replacing it next time. The more durable carpet doesn't feel as good but lasts much longer.

Just don't do it yourself because you probably don't have the tools.
