The cold weather is here and it's time to move my marathon training indoors. Does anyone know of any low-cost or no-cost pools or running tracks in the area?

The three public pools I know of around Alexandria are: 1)Chinquapin in the City of Alexandria (see above); 2)Lee District in FFX County and 3) Mount Vernon Rec Center in FFX County.

Lee District is 50M. The other two 25.
The rates you pay for each depend on where you live.

It's not that cold here that you couldn't train outdoors all year round. I exercise through the Winter on the Mount Vernon trail. Perhaps you just need to man (or woman) up, get yourself some running tights and an overshirt and get out there.

There's an indoor track at Thomas Jefferson Community Center (south arlington), but if you don't live in arlington county access is pretty expensive.

Thanks, all. It's mainly the pool I am jonesing for, CAVA1990, as the Potomac is on the chilly side this time of year. PS, I'm often pulling 6:00 splits at 5:30 am in barefeet on the MVT so I'm not sure my manhood can be called into question.
