I will, pretending to be our dog, sing "I like to sniff butts and I cannot lie! You other puppies can't deny."

This is in addition to [My puppy needs] "Dog Medicine" (Bon Jovi) and "Walkin' the Dog Again" (Foo Fighters).

So? It's not as if all "rescuers" are saints, either. Playing the "extremes" game benefits no one, especially not the animals.

If you want a purebred, talk to the breed organization and don't search the internet for breeders because they are 99% of the time the ones you really want to avoid. The parent clubs have the recommendations for testing (some breeds are more prone to certain issues than others), and links to breeders who do all the testing on their breeding dogs and puppies. I would never get a puppy without making sure that a breeder had proof of that testing. Definitely don't get a puppy from someone that will ship a puppy to you. Bad news and lately, a huge scam!

I am all for rescue and shelters, but I understand if others aren't. A pet is a huge investment regardless.

Sad that this breeder hid the truth, but it is a huge lesson for all of us.

It turns out that the Westminster Dog Show is this week in NYC? Anyone know of any dogs bred or owned in NoVa that will be entered this year?

I assure you, there will be lots of them. The actual catalog (names of dogs entered) will not be released until tomorrow, but there should be a good representation. Last year, there were 84, and 6 dogs owned by Virginians won their breed, which means they were featured on television in the group rings at night.

Va. breeder testifies business no puppy mill, others disagree - WTOP.com
Absolutely baffling - they are actually considering giving her a license at all?? Those dogs should be confiscated and helped immediately and this woman should be charged. She sounds like a true sociopath - all compliant and teary-eyed and convincing everyone that she means well, but at the same time lying and deceiving in order to continue the same behavior. God, I hope they don't fall for this.
