We're going to be putting on a 2 story addition this summer. I'm trying to find a one-stop-shop for everything. There used to be a Home Expo in the area but it looks like they went out of business. Do any of you have any recommendations? Things I'm looking for are Windows, flooring (tile, stone, hardwood, etc), siding, countertops, fixtures, cabinets and doors.
Do such stores exist? I'm looking for a store with a little more selection than Lowes/Home Depot. Doing a google search keeps leading me to specialty stores that have one thing but not the other.
Any recommendations would be great - thanks!

Have you tried the Habitat for Humanity ReStore locations. Locations are in Chantilly, Winchester, Warrenton, and other great areas. You can find all kinds of building materials, etc. at home centers/hardware stores that are closing inventory out too.

Also, check with local homebuilders and see if they have inventory on their building sites to sell at cost.

Below are the ReStore N VA and National Locations Info--enjoy!

http://www.habitat.org/restores (ReStore's site/info for locations nationwide.)
http://www.restorenova.org/ (ReStore's N VA site/info.)

Hope this helps--

Tart Lumber looks promising..I'll be sure to check them out.
I was in one of the ReStore locations in Purcellville a few months ago but they did not have much. I'll be sure to keep checking in from time to time. Thanks for the tip!

Don't mourn Home Expo's passing. If you wanted a $900 4X6 area rug or a $1500, jewel-encrusted faucet, that was the place. You definitely couldn't build a house with their stuff.

Is 84 Lumber still around? I bought a bunch of windows there. They kept prices down with no frills...the building wasn't even heated or A/Ced....LOL.

You are welcome. Keep checking Restore stores.

Also, 84 Lumber has locations in Frederick, MD area, I believe. There are also wholesale building material companies in Frederick, MD area too.
