I am evaluating Boyds school in Herndon VA (Woodland Crossing). My DD currently goes to Beantree chantilly which has been perfect so far in terms of our satisfaction.

But it is becoming increasingly tough to drop and pickup in traffic as I live in Herndon.

I am looking for toddler learning programs/facility which are clean and comparable to Beantree/Goddard without the hassle of traffic.

Does anyone have experience of sending kids aged 17mos-4yrs to The Boyd's school in Herndon.

Any review is sincerely appreciated.

One of my colleagues sent her son to Creme De La Creme and hated it. She moved her son to Boyd School in Herdon and was very happy. But she also said Montessori (which is Boyd's education method) was not for everyone. If your child has initiative to try different things, it will be a good fit. If you child lacks self initiative and prefers a more structured, teacher led environment, Montessori may not be the best option.

Another colleague of mine sent her daughter to Boyd and her son to Bean Tree. She said her daughter loved Boyd but her son didn't, probably due to the same reason. You can schedule a tour and let you child try it out during the "work" hours.

A third friend had never believed Montessori until she and her son toured Boyd Ashburn. Her son loved the tour experience so she signed him up and he did very well in Boyd Ashburn.

Someone I know recently moved back to his home country, but had three of his kids at that school for about two years. The oldest was about 6 when they moved so I believe they had experience from most age groups. He loved it and his kids were very happy there.
