We've visited the Udvar-Hazy museum a few times, mostly on weekends, or afternoons after 4, so we haven't ever seen anyone working in the restoration hangar. What days and times are best for seeing some activity?

Kids went on Tuesday morning and it was full of activity. I imagine a call to the museum would answer the question, but as a guess, I would say weekdays 9-4, as these are regular workers, not customer service staff, so I imagine they are on a regular business schedule.

It is (relatively) new, the first planes moved in around 2.5 years ago, with public viewing open sometime after that. Upstairs, all the way towards the back. See the Visitor overlook on the map.
