I'm looking to move to NOVA in a few months. I'll rent for a little to get a feel for the D.C. area, but I'm looking to buy in the near future.

My work is located near L'Enfant metro station. I am wondering if the VRE is a viable option? From what I read, it may be ideal for someone in my situation. If so, can I find somewhere decent along the line for no more than 200k? I'm looking for a condo or town home. Preferably two bedroom but I'll take one if nothing else can be found in my budget range.

Default yes to VRE

VRE also has a stop very close to LeEfant. You could live south of dc or in manassas and stay on the same train. Start shopping!

200,000 will possibly get you a condo in PWC near the South Woodbridge VRE station.

you can occassionally snag a condo in Lorton near the VRE station for right around $200,000, but on average, they sell for closer to 230,000+
