The only apartment complex besides the over 50 community that I can think of is Arcadia Run. It's a new complex on Wellington Road by Bozzuto that has a Manassas address. It borders the Bristow area and a very convenient location.

They are primarily bedroom communities for families. You may not find too many options for apartments out there.

I lived in the Battery Heights apartments in Manassas back in 2004-2005. I liked it very much at the time; I had a one bedroom with den (well, I think it was technically a dining area, but it also had an eat-in kitchen, so I used it as an office space) that had plenty of space for me living alone, and parking was not an issue (which it was a nightmare in some other places I've lived in NOVA). That area (along Liberia Ave.) has become quite built up with shops and restaurants since then if convenience is important to you.

I don't have any first hand knowledge of living there, but will say it has its pros and cons with respect to location. Convenient and even walkable to some shopping/restaurants, but located just of Lee Highway which can have significant backup during rush hour. You can exit the neighborhood to another street but need to circle back which can be just as time consuming.

Meh. I would move into a big group house of professionals and start networking and meeting people. Save up some more money. Reninvest in your career with more training. 50k is tough to live on in NOVA.

I lived in Raven's Crest a few years back. It was well located, clean, and safe. Friends lived in Chatsworth, which was also nice. If you will work in Manassas, there are plenty of safe places in Manassas to live. No reason to live further out.

It's not a high crime area but we seemed to have more calls for service out there then some of the other complexes listed.
