Where can I find the basement to rent for our family?

Thank in advance!

I'd try Woodbridge.

I can't imagine anyone in the Langley area "renting out the basement".

I have just been trolled by the TS. Million dollar or multi million dollar home owners are not going to want you living in their basement.

Yes I much prefer putting them in separate servants quarters elsewhere on the grounds.

I wouldn't necessarily make assumptions about either the OP or the possibility that someone who is house-rich but cash-poor might want to rent out a basement unit.

The Broyhill Langley neighborhood in the Langley HS district has some older homes that often are rented out to families who want to send their kids to the AAP program at Longfellow MS and then to Langley HS if they don't get into TJ.

However, the cheapest rental I could find in the Langley HS district was an older single-family house for $2,850/month. I did come across a basement apartment for rent in the Chesterbrook Woods area for $1,550/month, but this is in the McLean HS district.

The apartments in the Tysons/McLean area generally are in the McLean or Marshall districts, rather than in the Langley district. There are a few townhouse complexes in the Langley district, but the rest is all SFHs.

I wish I could give you more rep points. I am tired of trying to spread it around, the others dont deserve it :P

Interesting article in the WSJ today about efforts that cities like Vancouver and close-in suburbs on Long Island are currently making to facilitate things like basement rentals and small houses in the backyards of larger houses to deal with the rising cost of housing. Reminded me of this thread - and the article noted the predictable disagreements between people liking the increased density and greater affordability and those feeling like the neighborhoods they thought they were buying into are changing.

TS what is your budget for rental. As others have stated, Mclean HS district has more Condos for rent by owners/apartments then Langley.

TS stated he wanted to rent out a basement, not a home specifically in Langley. Again, provide a link for someone renting out a "basement" for langley hs.

Lighten up on the use of the imperative tense.

This appears to be similar to a basement rental in the Langley HS district (I'd only looked at McLean rentals before, but this is in Great Falls), for $1,100/month:

Also available for rent is an "in-law" suite for this house in Great Falls in the Langley district for $1,800/month:
