Can anyone recommend a basic gym. I am looking for a place that will have a good weightlifting set up with mirrors and a few cardio options for warming up and off days. Prefer smaller gyms more personal gyms. Really not interested in socializing, classes, juice bars, racquetball and all the fluff. I know these sorts of gyms are not popular with the mainstream but want to try and remain in the type of facility when I move to Loudoun.

Why don't you give a general part of Loudoun so people can give suggestions. Ir's a fairly large county.

Well I am not 100% sure of my residence yet, just researching the gyms available. I am focusing mostly on the Ashburn / Aldie area but could end up in Leesburg. I dont imagine there will be many options.

There is a small gym in Leesburg on Market Street -- in the shopping center with Advance Auto, Office Max (or Office Depot). It's behind Roy Rogers. Sorry, I can't remember the name.

Also in Leesburg, you have Ida Lee Park Recreation Center.

No clue about the other areas. Good luck.

I have no personal experience with these, but know a few people that use the facilities.

For a basic gym without bells and whistles in Ashburn, Williams Martial Arts fits the bill. It's very cheap. There's also Olympus in Sterling.

Thanks everyone for recommendations.

Sounds like the gym at Williams Martial Arts is one to check out. I want functional not fluff and that normaly comes at an attractive price too.
