As I said, my grandparents were at four facilities in this area. Three were great; they were not happy at Sunrise. (This was the Sunrise in Alexandria.)

Thanks for all of the great suggestions. We toured Ashby Ponds yesterday and my parents were pleased. The Ponds are 5 yrs old and well maintained. The staff were knowledgeable and every resident we "hit up" for thoughts had positive things to say.

We'll be touring the Orchard in Winchester next.

I was joking! Sunset..centenarians...impending departure into that great night.

But seriously, Sunrise is a stupid name for an old folks' home.

How about "Out of Sight, Out of Mind" or "Paybacks for Mom"?
