Looking for a recommendation of a good place to take outdoor photos of a toddler. Have a professional photographer booked, but not sure where a good location might be.

I love Algokian Park in Sterling. It has both water and wooded scene.

Lake Anne Plaza in Reston, with the fountain in the background, may also be nice.

We did our family pictures last fall on the walking trails right behind our house and they turned out gorgeous! People always ask where we went, and when we tell them, they're amazed. This time of year would be beautiful, too. Trees, bridges, water. It really is perfect. We are near Walker Nature Center, and this area is just lovely.

Saw the other thread so just to follow-up and finish this thread off we did end up going to Meadowlark. It was great! We were able to get many unique shots. We enjoyed the gardens so much we're already planning a trip back to spend some more time not stopping for photos.

Thanks again everyone.

Try Ellanore C Lawrence Park, not exactly in Reston or Herndon, but not to far.
