Exactly what are the nice night spots in Old Town that one can go to? I have been living in Alexandria for almost two years now but have only been to Old Town like twice. BTW-I live a couple of exits from there (Edsall). Can anyone think of any places besides Murphies or something like that?

It isn't Old Town, but it is Alexandria. If you like live music in a dinner theater atmosphere, check out The Birchmere (they're on the web).

Union Street Pub is nice although I have not been there in years.

I guess my assumption was correct! Old Town is good but not good enough for the 20's.

If you are in your 20s go to DC or Clarendon. Old town really caters to a little bit older crowd. Don't get me wrong it's still a very nice place to go at that age for a nice dinner and there are a few pubs, but it's peanuts compared to GTown, AM, or Clarendon.
