I second the earlier vote for Value City Furniture. It's a step up from Ikea furniture in that it is more sturdy and looks like actual furniture, not something for a dorm room. It's also reasonably priced and the service we had at the store we bought from was great. They ran out of the mattress we ordered so they gave us one that was $300 more expensive- it is so comfy and I love it!! Even my parents, who are big furniture snobs, occasionally get something from VC. And ebay also has some amazing pieces at very low prices, if you look hard enough.

This is a 4 year old post - with someone bumping it to try and sell a sofa. Don't encourage him/her.

I'm sure the OP has purchased their furniture and moved on.

Default I'll second this

It's better getting a slightly used piece of good furniture, than some junk that will fall apart from IKEA or WalMart.

You'll probably be suprissed by the quantity of and so many types of furniture on Craigslist. Good bargains to be found.
