OK, my husband just learned today that the job we thought he was taking in the Alexandria area is now going to be in Chantilly. So how I'm starting over again with researching schools for our kids. Does anyone have any good recommendations for preschools/pre-k programs in these areas? We will eventually be sending the kids to the public schools so would also like any thoughts of particularly good elementary schools in the area. We will be out there in a few weeks and wanted to visit some schools and get a better handle on where to enrol the children when we move their next June. We have twins who are 4 (will be 5 next August) and a 2 year old (will be 3 next June) and would like to find a program for all three. I work so would like it to be something that is full time or or has extended care option but not a kindercare or la petite. We are fine and would actually probably prefer a Christian school.
Thanks in advance. This board has been so helpful. |

I can speak from experience that St. Andrews Lutheran Preschool in Centreville is fantastic - very good teachers and a wonderful environment for the children. They have programs for 3, 4 and Pre-K. I am not familiar with any other pre-schools to recommend.
