I heard a noise, it sounded like an explosion or a gun shot really close to my front door. I immediately grab my child, my phone, turn the light on and run upstairs. Then I looked outside the window and saw something orange on the lawn. I made sure no one was there and opened the door, there were two pieces of pumpkin, one was on a step by the entrance, the other on the lawn not too far from the door. WTF?

I've lived in this neighborhood for a long time, and never had a problem with anyone, or seen anything like this.

sounds like some kids stuck a firecracker of some sort in the pumpkin and set it off to see what would happen

If it were me, I'd be calling the police, not posting on city-data. The sooner you call them, the more likely they will be able to do something about it and potentially catch whomever did it.
