Just a Heads Up that Cox download speeds have gone to low single digits across multiple tests in the Sully Station area.

If you are having similar slowness with them, give them a call so they start gathering datapoints (actually, it's not clear Cox gathers datapoints - would really be nice if they did, huh?).

This problem has been resolved - multiple users now reporting things back to normal - no response from Cox itself in various places yet, but they apparently did note the problem as a status message on their support phone lines somewhat after I started this thread.

Figured that I would bump rather than start a new thread. My Cox internet service has been a disaster lately. It is continually dropping out today, but I've been having multiple instances of brief periods of no service per week for months. Anyone else experiencing this?

No, never had a problem like that - Cox has been pretty solidly THERE though, as noted by the OP, sometimes less than ideal.

BTW, the problem described in the OP was apparently caused by some intermediate router or switch or something like that (or if not THAT problem, some similar problem). I do not know how Cox finally found out about it though there were multiple posts NOT on a Cox-specific message board (Cox-specific is like this one, not Cox-specific would be like...you know...HERE) about the problem from users all around a specific region at the time.
