Has anyone noticed a lot of low flying planes incoming over the westfields/sully station area of Centreville recently? In the last week and a half it seems like planes are buzzing by every minute or so and very close to people's houses

Weather, most probably wind. The flight patterns change, and last week they were especially low.

I agree with Jlyles --- That's what is to be expected when you live over an airport approach area.

I've lived in the flight path for years and years now. I can tell the time of day by what plane is coming in (especially those international flights). It is the weather that plays a role and generally when it is cloudy - the sound seems to bounce more and seem louder. The planes are really not as low as they look....though it seems like they may land right on you at times.

Noticed it too. But being from Queens and used to living literally 1.5 miles away from LaGuardia Airport, I'm pretty used to it.
