We lived in Springfield (22152) the last time around and we're moving back but we'd like to be closer. Since we're not sure how long we'll stick around we don't want to buy. I've been looking at Militarybyowner, realtor.com, craigslist, etc. and I'm starting to get dizzy! A lot of the houses in Alexandria are off of Rt. 1 and I'm not too sure about the commute.
The hubby will be working at the Navy Annex in Arlington and my thinking is since we're not buying why pay a mortage-type rental amount? So we're hoping for $2200-$2400/mo max. To add to the probably impossible we're looking for 4 bedrooms and a 1-car garage.
You can tell me if this just isn't going to work. Oh and I saw a couple of houses in Fairfax that were nice but again not so sure about the commute. He slugged a lot last time but if I remember Braddock wasn't a fun place to be during rush hour.
Any ideas? please!
