So I noticed last year when I moved here (but was too busy getting settled to worry about it) but it is that time of year where when I go out to my yard there are gnats everywhere. Very annoying.

Is this just the normal or is there something I can do to help control/minimize?
The "insect control" packages sold supposedly to control fleas, ticks, mosquitos etc..do those work for gnats as well? Do they even work at all?!

Thanks in advance for your insight!!!!

Where there is vegetation, gnats are the norm in this area. I don't know how well those insect control packages work.

When I had more vegetation, I used Triazicide. It screws onto your hose, just wand the yard and it keeps the gnats down. Don't use it on flowers, I think it's bad mojo for bees (read the directions).
