This is nothing new but I've been asked by a few people on here how to see what offenders they have in their neighborhood. I just did a search for the first time in a long time and I'm amazed at how many are still on here that I dealt with over the years. The site doesn't seem to work well on Chrome.

They go back a long time, one guy close to me convicted in '90. He should be forgiven by now.

They probably have public executions way out there

Thanks for sharing this. I recently asked about this. When I checked in crimereports website, I found an offender in the area I was going to buy a home but when I checked in VA state police offender website (link given by OP), I didn't find that person.

What does that mean?

Personally I would trust the VSP site before others. But keep in mind even the VSP website will not always be 100% accurate. People die, move, go to jail or whatever. Many of the addresses, if you do 20110, are cheap apts near the courthouse so they can easily make their appointments. Some are businesses where they work as they may not have home addresses. I saw some who lived on Residency Rd in Manassas which is nothing but an industrial area. It's not a perfect system but it is generally fairly accurate. Also, some of the sex offenders have nothing at all to do with harming children. Not that this makes things better but many offenders do not target children.

I might be able to forgive him but I still want to know who he is. Recidivism is an ongoing problem with many of these people.

Forgiveness should not be an option for sex offenders. Keep them behind bars.

Seems to be a decent list. I'm always wary of the sex offender lists after you hear horror stories of people being put on them for public urination, etc.

How can so many have the same address of 14730 Potomac mills road in Woodbridge? That address is not a structure but probably is the homeless camp behind the best western off the I95 ramp. How can a homeless camp be a viable address for a sex offender?
