Hello!

I know Manassas is sort of a mixed bag in terms of opinions, but I'm not all that familiar, so thought I'd come here and ask.

I've read to stay away from GTS, Irongate, and Coverstone ... but I'm not technically sure I know what those areas encompass? Also, is the area behind the hospital in an area one would suggest people think twice about? I'm really trying to move closer to work (in Herndon), but I'm certainly not rushing the process, as I don't want to end up in an undesirable area. I'd rather buy over rent, but I'm not opposed to the latter at all.

Anyway, anyone that could offer up some thoughts on the area immediately behind the hospital, I'd greatly appreciate it. (I think there is a condo called Rollingwood - not sure on apartments.)

Thank you!

That is a fairly small complex and it is off Rolling Rd but not behind the hospital. It's on the opposite side of Rolling from PWH. A friend of mine lives there and last I talked to her she enjoyed it but it has been a few years. It is in a quiet section of Manassas and not really close to any bad areas.

Ahh, awesome! Thank you! I was hoping you would respond, since I see you're quite knowledgeable on the area from other posts I've read on here. None of the other posts though, seemed to be regarding that area, so I just wasn't sure ...

I truly appreciate it!

It is not in a high crime are at all but it might not hurt to ask someone that lives there. I need to stop by where my friend works so if I see her I'll ask if she is still there. If you pull in just ask someone walking around and I'll wager you'll like their answer.

Thank you again!

I'll be driving around that way soon to see the area first hand. I do appreciate your thoughts!

Not a great commute to Herndon though. Have you looked in Herndon or Sterling?

Oh yes, I know. But, it's 20 miles closer than the current commute.

I've been looking in all the immediate surrounding areas ... I just found this one and decided it was the most commute I would/could tolerate. But, thanks for the thoughts ...
