Hello,
I'm trying to get tickets for a children show in wolftrap park (Vienna, VA). I'm looking at the green lawn area tickets since they are the cheapest. My qstns are:
1) Is it outdoors?
2) If I get the lawn area tickets, would it way too far that the kids can't see?
3) Generally how is the Wolftrap performance area?

btw, this is happening at the Wolftrap (Filenne Center) area. Any idea? please let me know. Thank you!

Yes, lawn would be pretty far, as the picture shows. It's great for concerts but if there's something on stage your kids would want to see get pavilion tickets. Pavilion is covered also, in case of inclement weather.

In my experience it seems like kids enjoy horsing around on the grass at least as much as the show itself.

I'm curious to know what show this is for? There aren't many children's shows at the Filene Center with both pavilion and lawn seats.

Gotcha. It's true they won't be able to see well from the lawn. I love the lawn but I wouldn't sit there if seeing the stage performers was important.

I always get in-house tickets because the weather during the summer is sort of iffy. Lots of late afternoon/evening rain storms. The lawn is a great place...you can eat and drink, which is prohibited inside the Filene Center. But if it rains, the lawn is a miserable place to be. Just something to think about.
