I used to have a PO Box (no mail delivery) and surepost stuff would sit in the post office for 4-5 days before I could even get it. It was at the building, but they wouldn't let me get it. That was frustrating.

I've had many a delivery from Amazon via Lasership, even a couple that were delivered on a Sunday. I haven't any problems whatsoever with them or any of the other ways Amazon has chosen to ship packages to me. I don't think they've ever failed to meet their 2-day Prime guarantee and many items arrive the next day (typically when it ships from a nearby warehouse). I've ordered many small and many large items from Amazon - from measuring cups and batteries to leaf blowers, dehumidifiers, and a 39 inch TV. I really can't think of a single shipping problem I have ever had with them.

I also find Amazon to be fantastic when dealing with returns for just about any reason. Just pack the item in a box and place it at your front door - no label needed and the pick up is automatically scheduled. I remember one time, I wanted to return a small $10 item because I changed my mind, and Amazon said just go ahead and keep the item and we'll refund you anyways.

Of course, I could understand the frustration if they shipped me something using a method that didn't actually deliver to my house. That would be frustrating.

My daughter ordered something from Amazon a little over a week ago and paid for next day arrival. Lasership stated it had arrived there the day after she ordered it at 830 am in Chantilly. It was due to us by 8pm that night. Never showed up. I contacted Amazon a day after it should have been here and they contacted Lasership who told Amazon it had only just arrived and they couldn't get it out because a truck was late.

How many stories were they gonna tell? We have had a shipment delivered to someone elses house and it was ridiculous. I guess we got it a couple of weeks after the delivered it elsewhere.

Amazon has been using Lasership in other areas of the country for a while. Only recently have I been getting deliveries from them in our area. The reviews on Lasership are horrible elsewhere in the country, with many stories like posted here, of packages being delivered days after tracking says they are delivered. Please make the shipper aware of each problem you have, hopefully they will change shippers or put pressure on the shipper to do things properly.

That is a pretty valid argument. Maybe you can at least manage a free extension of your Prime if you complain to Amazon...
