What are the lowest priced homes in your neighborhood? Condos, TH, or SFR--no trailers. Here in Manassas, there are a few TH under 100K in Georgetown South. Ironically, one of them sits about 80 feet from a Wellington TH, priced at 240K. Please give zip code. In this case, it is 20110.

Here is Ashburn (20147, 20148) SFH have now come into the 500K mark which is great. There are a few going a little lower...$480K range.
We just bought a home for $525K...I think we overpaid by $20K or so, but we really liked the home and location...in the long run it will pay off or equal out.
I have noticed some condo's in the $270K range and some townhomes in the $375K-$550+K range. Just depends on location and condition,

I saw a 2BR, 2 level condo in Alexandria listed for 179k.

In our neighborhood, condos are easy to find under 300k, and the smaller, older, less attractive neighborhoods are under 200k now. There is a 4 bed, 3level townhouse renting for $1900/mo 2 doors down from me.

Ashburn and Gainesville have come down quite a bit. You can get a really nice TH in either place in the 250-275 range.

Twinmma, I hate to spoil your equity, but my findings for Ashburn are quite a bit different than yours. In 20147, there is a nice condo for 154,900--that's 115K less than you stated. There is a sporty TH for 239,900, 3 br 3.5 bth--that's 135K less than you stated. A nice SFR will run you 389K--that's 90K less than you stated.

I found several condos in Alexandria for under 125K. The lowest being a 2 br 1.5 bth, for 118K.

Would you believe 205K for a 3 br 3.5 bth in 20155?

No, I don't. The cheapest thing I see is 169k for a 2br/2ba condo.

MLS ID#PW6581372, 14327 Newbern Loop, Gainesville. On the Market 59 Days. Yesterday, price was lowered from 279,900 to 205,000. Crossroads Village, current taxes: 1924. Maybe Gainesville isn't really the exclusive community that many here make it out to be.

And there is a SFR in Gainesville for 280K. No matter how you spin it; it's still PW County.
