Yes, but you can walk to King Street and take the trolley to Old Town. And sleepy=safe..and VERY dog friendly!

If you don't mind taking buses-the condos on Columbia Pike are also a good value. Know several single women who live around there.

Yea... Carlyle is literally at the beginning of Old Town, not exactly far. I live there and a walk to the waterfront is easy (1.7 miles from the Western side of the PTO). And it's not like you have to walk that far to get to anything, within a quarter of a mile and you're already to the Brabo area of King Street, so there's plenty of restaurants and bars.

You can also walk to the Hoffman area (not my cup of tea).

You will be hard pressed to find condos for 350 for a one bedroom though, maybe on the super low end of the spectrum.
