I live in the 22306 area code. It's an interesting area in that there is a lot of revitalization going on that not everyone is aware of. As I've said in other posts, you won't lack for midscale retail and restaurant choices. I have to say that I'm not familiar specifically with Huntley Creek Place. However, most of the community surrounding Huntley Meadows Park is fine. You may want to look at such subdivisions as Woodstone and Stoneybrooke.

Thank you for the response. Do Woodstone & Stoneybrooke subdivisions contain houses, condos, townhouses, etc.? If it is a housing development, do you know if they have houses for rent? We are looking to rent since we will only be there for a year.

Stoneybrooke is all SFHs. I believe Woodstone may be SFHs with some THs mixed in.... but don't quote me on that. I've seen the occasional for rent sign in Stoneybrooke but I don't travel in Woodstone enough to know. I would guess that both HOAs have a website; perhaps there would be information on rentals there.

Does anyone else have any input on specific areas/neighborhoods/townhouses/condos that are safe and a fairly close commute to Bolling AFB?

My husband and I have recently PCS to DC and we live on Bolling. We like the digs. Have you considered living on base? The commute is definitly under 20 minutes. ; )

ABAFW,
Do they have Officer housing on Bolling? Also, my husband is in the Navy. Would they house us on the AF Base? I checked with the Bolling base housing office prior to the privatization and they said that there was no officer housing on the base. I haven't checked since the privatization. Any info would help.
Thanks!
