Does anyone know of a company/ person who will come to your house and do this? Loudoun or Fauquier counties, please.

(and for all of you DIY'ers, I am in no way interested in doing it myself. I don't care how "easy" it is or how much you think it will be a waste of money to have someone else do it. I enjoy supporting the local businesses.....)

Just get some Seafoam and put it in the gas tank, 2 year fuel stabilization. Best product for long term mothballing gas engines. The company I worked for used this for many years and it's been great!

I don't believe in fuel stabilizers. Especially in modern engines with synthetic seals and stuff in the carburetor. Just run the fuel out of it....dump or siphon as much fuel as you can then start it and run it out of fuel...pulling the choke as it starts to die. A couple more pulls of the starter rope after that will burn the last drop. (I also change the oil, but that's not a job for novices, you need an engineering degree for that...LOL)

If you run the fuel out, the engine will start 20 years from now. 99.9999% of the time, when a small engine won't start after a period of storage....it's because fuel left in it has gone bad.

If you want to pay some jokers a couple of hundred to do this simple task...go for it!

I agree! Just run the fuel out of it and you'll be fine. I bought mine in Chicago in 2009, and have yet to have a problem with it by just running it dry. It's a lawnmower engine.

I also agree using seafoam will help too. Great stuff that'll prevent any fuel from gumming up the works on any engine. Use to use it all the time at the beach for the boat.

"needed"? No.

A lovely luxury for a driveway that is 100' long? Yes.

I guess. I just shovel for fun. My property, neighbors driveways , its good to get out and listen to the quiet sound of falling snow. Plus its good cardio and muscular work.

I even own a 2wd (rear wheel vehicle) bought in SC before I moved to Pittsburgh. (im originally from Portsmouth, VA and wife is originally from Columbia, SC)

A good set of snow tires will do wonders which would save on a purchase of a snow blower and whatever responsibilities come with it if rotated for the correct season.

4Wheeler with a snow plow on the front would be cool!!!

We have a snowblower because we live on a corner lot - so we are responsible not just for our driveway and walkway, but the sidewalks on both sides of our house. LONG sidewalks. And we've used it quite a bit the last two winters.
