By beach I would like at least 10-20 feet of sand from the water's edge to the land, and waves. Waves on an every day basis, not just due to a storm. I know it's more southern Virginia, but is Sandbridge Dunes a crowded area?

Sandbridge is part of Virginia Beach. While it is less crowded then the boardwalk area of Virginia Beach, the problem with Sandbridge is that the entire beach disappears at high tide.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
We have a very wide beach at all tides.
For the past 15 or so years we have had a
self funded sand replenishment/storm protection program. The beach is replenished about every 5 years. About 15 million worth each time. Sandbridge home owners pay 100% of the cost through a special tax district.
