Thanks for all the info so far,I'm in Sterling right now Got down around 5PM yesterday. So far I really like your state, not used to seeing so many people walk around wearing Redskin gear. By me in south central Jersey I'm accustomed to seeing people wear Giants, Jets and Eagle jackets etc. Last night went with my nephew to Alexandria to meet his friends at a bar, very nice town. Got up late today, didn't get back to Sterling till almost 3AM not used to that. Took a ride up RT. 7 to Winchester this afternoon. More looking around tomorrow, but I seem to like the area east of Winchester., Bluemont, Berryville etc. Took a turnoff in Bluemont at the Shenondoah River?followed the road along river made left onto Ebenezer Rd. very beautiful wooded and hilly landscape along the road.

BTW, we don't have many city governments here, therefore town names are nebulous. Sterling is one of those names that can apply to very different neighborhoods ranging from the eastern border of the county to Ashburn. Some are more desirable than others. If you aren't too thrilled with your nephew's neighborhood, be sure to drive around and see what else is considered Sterling.
Nephew's townhouse is nice, never seen so many townhouses as I have seen around here. But I really don't think I want to live in one.
