We will be moving to south riding next month and were wondering which carrier has the best reception in south riding. I have t-mobile and wife has Sprint right now. I looked at coverage map for ATT and they might have better LTE coverage. Any advice?

I have TMobile and live near Chantilly HS. 4G LTE coverage is acceptable in my area. When I travel to areas west of the Chantilly Costco on Rt 50, I find the coverage acceptable, both moving and stationary. Acceptable is 3-4/5 bars; fast data and no drops during my infrequent calls. When at home, I usually manually connect to the WiFi.

I've had both VZW and AT&T wireless over the years. My smartphone use has evolved. I talk less, text more and use data a ton. I had a legacy VZW wireless contract with unlimited data using an older model Crackberry. VZW would not allow me to transfer my unlimited data contract to a Galaxy S4, only to the updated Blackberry. I said, "f@ck that" and switched to TMobile. Now I pay 2/3 the cost of my VZW contract with unlimited everything. I can't beat that with a stick.

TMobile coverage is the DC/Metro area can be a challenge but there are work-arounds (sniff out a free WiFi and be a parasite) or I just wait until I'm in a good area. Coverage sucks in the Metro tunnels but I'm an 1x/month rider. There is a notorious dead spot on the FFx Co Parkway in the Burke area. I hope this helps.

I know this thread is old, but I'm considering both Sprint and Tmobile.
How's the experience with either sprint or Tmobile?
