Thanks for the replies. Preliminarily it looks like Fairfax looks like a good place, maybe near Fair Oaks Mall and Fairfax Corner. It would be a 20-30 minute commute, is close to restaurants, closer to metro, etc. It seems like there is plenty going on. I don't know how young Fairfax is but unless I'm willing for a 45 minute+ commute I don't think I'll be in a young neighborhood. It might cost me more but by looking at things it doesnt look like I would want to live in Manassas.
