Hello I live in Ontario and the agent of my landlord lies to get access to enter my apartment when i am not there. I have looked to figure out what are the specific circumstances or emergency when a landlord can enter your apartment without permission. All i keep seeing is those words only specific circumstances or emergency. I have seen people leave there apartments and she would ask me do i hear a dog barking or do you here water running and i dont and she says she does then enters their apartment.

repost this in either a location specific subforum for your area, or the renting subforum under the real estate tab. you'll get minimal answers here I imagine

I would imagine that its illegal, as it is in the US, unless there is an emergency or your notified ahead of time for an inspection by the landlord. Talk to your local Police Department, and see what the Law is there, or an Attorney. You can also install an Alarm that can only be disarmed by a remote, when you come home. If she sets it off, call the Police, and let her explain why she went into the Apartment. Her excuses may not work that well with Cops.
