New Jersey is a high-tax area. Virginia is a low-tax area. Broadening the base of taxes that actually stay in NoVa would hardly turn us into New Jersey.

Hey, my car was made (barely) in the Clinton administration! And has a manual transmission! How fancy is that? But in fact, my so-so gas mileage means I'm pay more gasoline tax than you and your peace-sign-bumper-stickered, fringe-on-the-dashboard, John-Denver-blasting-out-the-window Prius.

this area has the worst traffic and now apparently, more expensive to live in than NYC.

income tax? so 99% of us get screwed while those who make more pay near nothing?
