All I know is Reston is the absolute worst city in all of Northern Virginia. I avoid it like the plague. You should too!

Its just something about it. A very bad vibe from the place. It has the largest concentration of people from NY/NJ. Its a very depressing area. Reston Town Center is okay, though.

Are you 22 yo?

I like Richmond ok but there's a good amount of truly terrible neighborhoods there. I would never live in RVa

The worst neighborhood in Reston looks like the richest in Richmond. The Fan has junkies and psychos all over Monroe Park at all hours-and thats a cool'hood

Welcome to the big city. You willl have to adapt here. It all depends on what YOU want. If you like Loudoun County, then go ahead, go ahead purchase that lifestyle, and you'll be complaining for years about the commute hell. Or, you can be smart and THINK, what's good for you and makes you happy.Happiness is the key, if you're unhappy don't move here for the money.

Just think about this.. all you do in your house is eat, sleep and crap, and recharge. The rest of the time you're out in about doing something meaningful in your life. Who gives a crap what your house looks like, and lawn and larger ego that it may bring you. Unless that makes you happy.

Farway? I used to live in Fairway Apartments in the early 2000s and had no problems, aside from their zeal in towing cars without parking stickers. It was fine then; I have no reason to believe it's not fine now.

LOL..let's not go overboard. There are a number of neighborhoods in Richmond that look a helluva lot nicer than anything to be found on South Lakes Drive.

Gotta agree with that, even if it's peripheral to the thread.
