I have looked high and low for a decent place to meet, just to MEET, i.e., coffee or somesuch, @ 5pm in McLean or Tyson's. Peet's is not terribly romantic....... I love Coastal Flats but the whole "in a mall and incredibly noisy" does not appeal at all. It'd be nice if we hit it off to have the option of either staying where we are for dinner, or moving to another nearby location to eat. Recommendations for that, too, would be appreciated.

The nice thing about the mall is that you can easily "restaurant/bar hop" because there are several right next to each other.

Barrel & Bushel might be a good meeting spot. It's next to the mall but not in the mall. You could easily go somewhere else after. Or you could also try founding farmers which is also close by.

The cafe part of Maggiano's in Tysons Gallerie. Sorry I don't remember the exact name but it's around the corner and down the hallway from Maggiano's.

There's also a french bakery thing in Tysons Corner by Lord & Taylor. Sorry -- I'm bad with names.

Coffee, croissants, salads etc.

La Madeleine. Good, but busy and kind of noisy. But not too bad.

Silver Diner. It's on International Dr across the Tysons mall.

One more -- not terribly more expensive but nice. Entyse Bar at the Ritz Carlton.

I also recommend Barrel & Bushel for the initial meet & greet. Then you guys can just walk right over to Eddie V's or Earl's for dinner and live music.

lmao

Okay, I will chime in. I have used this place a few times to meet some hotties...new Hilton outdoor bar at Tysons 1 if the weather is good. For indoor fun, grab a coffee at Tysons Galleria, sit on the couches, if there is chemistry then move onto Ritz Carlton lounge and then get a room.
