Would really appreciate some suggestions for apartment or condo rental communities near bus lots or walking distance to the Loudoun bus stops that either go directly to DC or to the Silver Line in Reston. **do not want to drive to metro or DC**

We are open to Ashburn, Leesburg, Lansdowne, Reston, Sterling - important that the neighborhood be safe for parking and walking....

Would be nice to have it located in walking distance to shops, restaurants, etc.

We are hoping to stay under $2K/mo for a 2 - 3 bedroom unit.

Thank you.

How about a Reston townhouse or condo that is either walking distance to the Metro station or on a bus line to the Metro station. Here are a few in your price range.

The Loudoun County Commuter buses service those living in Ashburn/Leesburg/Lansdowne and want to commute to DC. You may want to check out https://www.loudoun.gov/bus for these routes.

Many of the Ashburn/Leesburg stops are mostly at Park-N-Rides. Generally, the stops are mostly for people to drive from their houses locally and park at to catch the bus. The stop in Brambleton on Creighton Road, for example, is conceivably walkable from the surrounding townhouses, but Creighton Road is a 4 lane suburb road that doesn't even have a crosswalk to the Park-N-Ride. The Leesburg Park-N-Ride is next to the Executive airport and that too is designed for people to drive and park. The Purcellville stop is located centrally in town, but it isn't easily connected with walkable paths.

I do not know of a commuter stop within Lansdowne. Most of the commuter stops are centralized along the Dulles Toll Road. Lansdowne is too far north.

I learned via the Loudoun County Transit page, that Lansdowne is served by one of their commuter buses. It stops at INOVA Loudoun Hospital and goes daily to the Silver Line in Reston....

Additionally, since the Silver Line opened, looks like several new bus stop locations have been added.
