This is not just related to NoVa. But I wanted to get the opinion of people in my region which is why I am posting this here....

During the holiday season, how much do you all normally gift for school teachers/bus drivers/day care center teacher/assistants?

Just wanted to get an idea so I don't gift lesser than normal.

TIA

I agree that this is a good range. I'd also suggest a gift card from Amazon, Target, etc. so that the recipient has options on what to spend it on unlike a Starbucks gift card which kinda pigeon-holes ya!

Coming from someone who works in a school, holiday gifts are never expected but always appreciated.

My mother, a teacher and coffee hater, gets between $20-100 of Starbucks gift cards each year. Amazon or Target would be a much better choice because there really are people who don't like Starbucks.

Thanks for your replies. And I agree about Amazon card, not Starbucks card.

For teachers, they probably buy lot of things from Amazon on a regular basis. So, it's very appropriate to give them Amazon card.
