Do you people think it will be a smart move for us to purchase a house in Lake Ridge? I have been looking at the ads since yesterday and they say the houses are valued $100K below their real value. Is it gonna go up in the near future? I really appreciate your time and input.

I'm in that area and have noticed prices go down overall. There were a few homes for sale in the neighborhood that took a few months to sell but I'm sure that's the same for most of NoVA. However there were a few homes with a water view that sold rather quickly. If you plan to buy and stay for a while, there's the ongoing Fort Belvoir expansion that should attract more people wanting to settle down in the area. This influx of people hopefully will improve the housing market to the nearby Lake Ridge area.
