Silverado has brunch. Hit it at 1:30 or 2:00 on a Saturday and was not in the mood for brunch. They had other options but they did not have mashed potatoes which I like to order so my SO can have some.....

I love Coastal Flats and have been to Mikes in Springfield and Carlyle in Shirlington, I didn't realize they had a location in Annandale. I think that may be a good choice fairly easy for both of us to get to. It does look kind of small though, do all the GAR locations have the call ahead seating? I didn't realize they did brunch.

@Badger the Twisted Vines menu looks good, I'll have to give that one a try soon.

Thanks for the recommendations!!! So many good places to eat around here.

I love Great American Restaurants, but I'm not sure I would really call it a "brunch" place.

Here are some great places in Springfield (halfway between Alexandria and Fairfax):
1. Delia's (their website doesn't have their brunch menu for some reason)
2. Walker's Grille (Kingstowne)
3. Bob and Edith's Diner (more of a breakfast diner but have lunch food too)

And now that I think of it, Anita's (Burke, Fairfax) has to have one of the best brunches around. Their salsa is soup but everything else is good.

Ted's Bulletin in Merrifield (Mosaic) has brunch. So does Cyclone Anaya's but that place is the pits. I think Matchbox does too though I've never gone.

Clyde's has great brunch options. There is the location in Tysons amongst others.

For GAR restaurants, there is Artie's in Fairfax City too.

You could also do Silver Diner in Merrifield for a more casual time.

Yes, they just started expanding -- there's one in Crystal City and one in Springfield now.

Best Sunday brunch ever is at J. Gilbert's in McLean. Not exactly the most convenient in the areas you are looking but they know how to do it right!

I honestly don't know if Kilroy's in Springfield even still exists - went there a hundred(s) moons ago - it was a great brunch though.

Great news gomason. I remember they had a second one on Columbia Pike and it folded.

Love Bob and Edith's.
