Hello Every one!
I am in the process of relocating to Virginia. I will be working in the Herndon area. I am looking to rent an apt, either 1 or 2 bedrooms. would you recommend to rent from individuals or from an Apt Complex?
what would be a decent range, money wise, for this rental?
regards,

Hello,

There are a lot of nice apartments in the Herndon/Reston area. I just moved to Herndon a little over a month ago. I did a good deal of looking over apartments in the area. I ended up going with The Metropolitan of Fairfax in Herndon - http://www.metfairfax.com It is a very nice complex, only a couple years old, garage parking and a great staff. You can also walk right down the street to a grocery store, places to eat, a gym, etc. - Clock Tower Center off Centerville Rd.

A newer 1 bedroom in the area is roughly $1100 to $1400. You may also want to check out (broken link)

Yeah, like Ninjajoey said, I'd say most newer apartments are in the $1100-1400 range. There are some older apartment complexes where one bedrooms can be had for $1000 and I believe a few even cheaper than that, in the 900s.
