Like I said before, too, Greenfront is awesome and the Sterling location is good but if you are up for a drive on the weekend, go to Farmville to their mother stores, you will be shocked. It is several stores along the town center street and they deliver to Northern Virginia for a very reasonable price.
I have shopped the location in Sterling and have never found anything, although they have great stuff. The location in Farmville, I always, always find what I am looking for.

Default Costco Furniture +

We bought a futon couch from Costco a few years ago. I would say it's just okay. Not very comfortable to sit on for any length of time, much less to sleep on. In fact it's been relegated to the [unfinished] basement in the kids play area. It looks nice and functions well but we should have used the $600+, added a few more bucks to it and bought a sofa bed from Ethan Allen (well, tripled the 600). The Costco delivery and service was fine.

As for Greenfronts, they are great. Loads of brands, prices range from low to high. Lots of unique pieces. Great place to buy rugs and accessories as well. Keep in mind they now have a huge store/warehouse on 234 by-pass in Manassas (just south of the rt 28 exit). It opened last year. Much bigger than the Sterling location.

As for the question on Gallahans in Fredericksburg. I've bought from them as well and can recommend them. We bought two Drexel Heritage end tables at good prices. They have lots of good brands and great sales, especially on floor models.

My living room is furnished with pieces from Restoration Hardware. The room is very big so I like the large pieces that they offer. The prices are not too bad. The leather sofa was around $5500 after shipping.

Default Costco Furniture is Poor Quality

I purchased a bedroom set for my son because he's not a Costco member. They delivered it and the headboard was broken, the dresser appeared to have been damaged and poorly repaired, one of the legs on the chest of drawers wasn't even stained and it takes them forever to contact the company to pick up the furniture and to get a refund. I'm very disappointed in the quality, service and timeframes. In the meantime, I'm floating them over $2700 dollars until they contact my son (it's been two weeks) to set a pickup date. I would never buy furniture from them again. Now, on everything else in their store, definitely. I find that they have good products and a good return policy, but don't by furniture there. They sub it out to another company.

We bought our dining room furniture from there too- very happy.. consider looking on ebay for a 10-20% coupon (which I relisted and sold after I used it).. also, once a year they have a big sale (try googling). Also- calling HQ helped with some issues I had with delivery and availability.. they were great and super fast..
