This game sounds like the kind of thing that may get somebody shot, particularly if people start trespassing at night. What a terrible idea.

You guys are really ignorant about the app. There's no need for trespassing, the game only takes you to public points of interests and a few churches/cemeteries.

Hi; I'm from Colorado but I was skimming through & saw the title & could not pass up this thread!

Pokemon is Nintendo-speak for "Pocket Monster".

This new game is nuts; I have 14 yr old twin girls (out of 11; I've been dealing with Pokemon for a looong time!)...1 has

this game on her phone, the other one dose not because it "takes up too much data" on her phone.

Thanks to the one that does; I can spot a gamer walking down the sidewalk a mile away.

According to her: "Michelle Obama has been trying to get kids outside for 8 years; it took Nintendo 45

minutes!"

Several of her friends & her are suspecting that one of the more coveted characters is "hiding" inside a local

nursing home...

I told her NO; NOT happening! Can you just see some old folks home getting stormed by a crowd of

teenagers with their phones waving around over their heads?

I think my wife might be getting it. She was a rabid Pokemon fan when they first came out.

I'm all for this game if it gets kids to actually run around outside instead of being chained to their video game consoles and computers.

Are they running? Or simply slowly strolling while still chained to their phone?

On the news last night they showed a bunch of kids/young adults clustered in one spot in Central Park. No conversations, just staring at their phones..like zoombies.

And there is a report of people being lured to a robbery, bad guys play the game too. They know where these unsuspecting kids might go. In my neighborhood, two girls were riding bikes and had their phones out. Suddenly they stop and laid the bikes down (on the side of the street) and darted across the street. Didn't look at anything but the phones.
