Anyone have recent feedback on using this bus route for commuting to the Pentagon? I'm going to try and actually take it before moving, but curious if people like it or if it is overcrowded and miserable before I think sitting on it for two hours a day is a great idea.

Before the "move closer" folks chime in, I've looked. It is sad when you've decided to accept half the square footage, find a place 11 miles away, and Google still estimates upwards of an hour to get to and from work.

Can't speak for that route but if you leave manasas at 2am, it would take 40 min to get to the pentagon. An hour is expected and if you can depart your driveway, drive to parking lot, wait/ catch bus with travel time, an hour isn't bad.

There are people who enter the pentagon and it takes another 15 min to get to their desk. It's all relative.

For the VRE to Crystal City option: How long would it take from Manassas VRE station to Pentagon Metro stop?
Thanks.

The VRE schedule says about 50 min to get from either Manassas stop to Crystal city. Then either just walk to the pentagon (15 min) or walk 5 min to metro stop to get on metro for two stops (10 min).

And then once someone is in Pentagon, it may take another 10 to 15 min to get to desk. Overall this explanation for a total of 1 hour, 15 min total isn't a "hard" commute but some find this outcome as a reason to not want to work in the DC area.
